I could easily spend the rest of the evening (or the rest of my life, really) finding the right words to express the gratitude in my heart—for a present, supportive and loving family, for nourishing food on our table, for the gift of spending every hour of my life with people I love—but I am short on time in the most beautiful way I can imagine. I have a baby downstairs who needs nursing, children who need feeding, and a home that needs tending, so a simple Thank You will have to do. A thousand times, Thank You.

I hope you all had a peaceful Thanksgiving with the ones you love.

giving thanks

It's scary to put yourself out there. When I started this blog, I made a conscious decision to change something about myself. To stop being defensive. To stop shielding myself from imagined criticism I might find if I was open. I just want to thank you all for being so nice to me. Because, you know what happened? When I put myself out there, I didn't find criticism. I found out the world is actually full of really nice people. Imagine that.

House Love has been this amazing thing. And you know what the best part has been? So many people who know me, like, in real life, have ordered prints. I mean, I feel like almost everyone I know has ordered one. (Not really, but it feels that way!) I have been so touched by your support. What a wonderful world. I just love all of you so much. (You! Reading this right now!) Thank you.

Wishing you all a lovely Thanksgiving with loved ones, good food and happy, sleepy children. :)
